The Navigation License allows you to navigate boats up to 6 meters in length without power limitation for daytime navigation, up to a maximum distance of 2 nautical miles from the coast, as well as type C jet skis (up to 55 hp)
The requirements to obtain the Navigation License are as follows:
1. Be 18 years old. Minors from 16 years old can also obtain it by presenting parental consent.
2. Pass a psychotechnical test, specifically for navigation qualifications, at a driver recognition center. The medical certificate can be delivered on the day of the course or in the previous days at the school.
3. Complete a 2-hour theoretical course at an authorized nautical school.
4. Complete basic safety and navigation practices, lasting 4 hours, at an authorized nautical school.

To issue the permit, you must present the following documents at your school, before or after completing the course:
- A photocopy of a valid ID or Passport.
- A psychotechnical medical certificate similar to those for a driver's license.
It is important that when issuing the medical certificate, it is indicated that it is for obtaining the Navigation License.
It is not necessary to pass any exam to obtain the Navigation License. You only need to complete a course with 2 hours of theory and 4 hours of practice.
The Navigation License authorizes the operation of recreational boats up to 6 meters in length and navigation up to a maximum distance of 2 nautical miles from a port, marina, or shelter, during daylight only. It also allows operating jet skis up to 55 hp.
